Six Inches of Texas Steel - San Tan's 1836 Frontier Suppressors

The year 1836 gave Texas its independence, and San Tan Tactical has used it as the name for its new line of Texas-made rifles and gear. Now comes the Frontier Series, a pair of 6-inch rifle suppressors in 5.56 NATO and .30 caliber with a $599 MSRP.

Each Frontier is precision-machined from 17-4 stainless steel, and inside is a stacked, fully welded baffle core. A continuous 360-degree laser weld holds the core together for structural strength and extended use. In plain terms, nobody at San Tan Tactical seemed worried about the baffles loosening, so they fused them in place.

The HUB-compatible interface adds flexibility. A direct-thread mount comes in the box, so the suppressor works from the first range trip, and owners who prefer another mounting system can switch to any compatible one. It is a small detail, but it means your $599 does not come with a mandatory follow-up purchase.

Two models are offered. The 5.56 NATO version is the one for AR owners. The .30 caliber version is rated for .308 Win., .300 Blackout and other compatible .30 caliber cartridges, which makes it the one to pick for anyone who does not want to buy a second suppressor for a second rifle. Both are made in Texas and covered by a lifetime warranty.

The Frontier is the newest addition to the 1836 product family, which already includes the Ranger, Liberty and Sentinel rifles.

Probably breaks in the cold. Also one caliber too small🫢 should have a 30 cal and 38 cal holes for 223 and 30, respectively

No info on their website on the actual noise reduction rating - does it quite a round below 140 dB? Performance matters...
