beach_ballistics on Instagram has a pretty nice collection of firearms, and we’re happy to have permission to share some of his images for our Photo Of The Day. This is the Heckler & Koch MK24 Mod 0 clone.

Here’s the caption, to fully understand the background:

“The Mk 24 Mod 0 was adopted by the United States Special Warfare Command in 2011 to replace the large and bulky Mk 23 Mod 0. The base handgun is a .45 ACP   @hecklerandkoch HK45 Compact Tactical assembled in the US with standard height Meprolight night sights. The Mk24 Mod 0 is a Variant 3 (decocker only) version of the HK45C however mine is still sporting a V1/2 detent plate for the time being. The clone correct suppressor is the   @advancedarmamentco Ti-Rant 45S which I am fortunate to have acquired. I do not yet have the Crimson Trace LG-645 laser aiming module that was apparently issued with these handguns.”

Ti-Rant 45S Suppressor for .45 Auto, by Advanced Armament Corp., Lawrenceville, GA USA.

Which clone would you build if you got the chance?

    Getting there ;)

Best of luck getting the laser... the only way I was able to pull it off years ago was by walking into the (now shuttered) Crimson Trace HQ and asking for it by P/N. They wouldn't sell me one over the phone.

Crazy to think that so recently there was still demand for a .45 side arm.
