POTD: Beware The Fangs - The TTI Sand Viper Bites Back

Every serpent has a tell, and this one carries it right under the muzzle. The TTI Sand Viper hides a built-in bladed stand-off the company calls its fangs, a little menace on an otherwise refined 2011 from Taran Butler's Simi Valley shop. This is TFB's Photo of the Day, and it shows the Coyote Bronze DLC frame and polished slide wearing a Coyote Brown Trijicon SRO in an ultra-low optic cut.

Up front sits a five-inch DLC-coated fluted barrel with a large single-port compensator, chambered in 9x19. TTI quotes a trigger pull of 1.75 to 2.25 pounds, which suits a gun aimed at 2 Gun and 3 Gun. I’d love to give it a try at a match and see how well I’d do compared to my Tanfoglio.

Taran Tactical has long been tied to the John Wick films, so the Sand Viper feels like it came straight off a Continental Hotel armory shelf. It lists at $8,199.99 with a 6- to 8-month lead time, so patience is part of the price. Would you wait that long?

Imagine showing up to the range with one of these and being outshot by a dude with a stock glock and a dream.
