POTD: Kel-Tec SUB-SDP with Suppressor – Built to Disappear
Kel-Tec at work again, and I am not sure if this is an art project or the marketing project they actually ran on social media. If James Bond had a daypack, this would definitely be in it, but it seems a Transformer got to it first. The Kel-Tec SUB-SDP collapses to just 10 inches and is braced for whenever precision fire is needed. This looks like the sort of firearm that gets deployed when conventional carbines are too loud and too large, and I just love suppressed 9mm firearms.
With a suppressor mounted, it reads as something closer to a complete tactical system than a compact pistol, but that is what threaded barrels are good for. Putting a red dot on that short piece of Picatinny is a good call as well. Better use those attachment points for the intended purpose.

Stock is very tight.
Sights are not usable, I filed the front down because it blocked things on the rail, on which I monted a cheap green laser.
Mounting a full sized dot sight is retarded, no good sight line, blocks any use in folding, which in this case, ability to fold is a detriment.
Reason?
Too much slop beteen the plastic parts that keep the barrel and receiver in line and tight.
I used silicone sealant and plastic wrap and created a filler, allowed it to dry and eliminated 98% of the flex.
It may need epoxy as a replacement.
Also its rudely loud, subs only, and even with an R9 it hurts my ears, not bad, but it needs a longer can.
I have a Soviet inspired "Dumb" can using simple M baffles, about 12" long.
4" blast chamber, 1" deep baffles, 7 full, and one cut to fit the slack in the aluminum pipe I made it from.
Very long, very inefficient, bit with subs, its enough.
Always love it when someone illustrates a person or robot or mobile suit or whatever loaded down with spare magazines which explicitly would not fit the weapon being carried.
Or movies where they show empty brass falling, but it's NOT what is being fired.
