NEW Pro Rifle Clamp Mount From Vortex

Vortex Optics has a new tool for attaching rifles to tripods. The Pro Rifle Clamp Tripod Mount secures any long gun in its clamping mechanism without any need for specific mounting interfaces. It also fits all standard Arca-Swiss interfaces on tripods.

Shooting from tripods has become a standard shooting technique, particularly among PRS shooters. More and more hunters are embracing it as well, but that raises issues with attaching the gun to the tripod. Most chassis guns have an integrated Arca rail in the handguard or provisions for mounting one, but many hunting rifles do not. The new Vortex Pro Rifle Clamp Mount holds any rifle that fits inside the jaws, which tighten down to grip the forend with non-marring rubber surfaces.

From the manufacturer:
“With the new Pro Rifle Clamp Tripod Mount, you don’t have to sacrifice speed and mobility to get a lockdown shooting platform.
You don’t have to modify your stock or carry extra tools. All you have to do is mount the clamp to your favorite platform (like the Vortex® Radian™ Carbon and Switchback™ Carbon tripods) and you get hair-splitting accuracy from your rifle, shotgun, and even your crossbow. Western and predator hunters, and any shooter who values rapid deployment and no-slip security, will love how the Pro Rifle Clamp Tripod Mount fits their hunt.”

$225 😕
Too expensive. My carbon fiber tripod cost half that.
