Engaged Industries Debuts Recon and Operator Stealth LoK Suppressors

Engaged Industries is one of the newest entrants in the increasingly competitive suppressor market, introducing two flagship models—the Recon .308 and Operator 5.56—both built around the company’s proprietary Stealth LoK™ Quick Disconnect (QD) System. These suppressors are designed with a focus on sound performance, user convenience, and reduced gas blowback.

Built from 3AI2.5V titanium tubing with high-temp nitrided alloy steel internals, they aim to strike a balance between lightweight construction and operational durability. Both models use Engaged’s VLB25 baffle system with Vacuum Expansion technology, which minimizes muzzle flash and gas blowback while producing a deeper tone than conventional designs. The Recon .308 is compatible with a wide range of cartridges up to 7.62mm, while the Operator 5.56 is optimized for calibers up to .224”, including full-auto duty use.

The Operator 5.56 is a compact suppressor rated for Cartridge rounds of .224” diameter or less due to the bore size of the baffles, most notably the 5.56mm NATO cartridge. It is rated for any barrel length, and limited full auto rated to 100 rds before cool down. This suppressor will exceed the SOCOM/NSWG/MILSTD testing protocol. The patent pending VLB25 baffles utilize Vacuum Expansion (VE) technology which restrict the flow of gas without allowing (significantly reducing) the reverse flow of gases causing “gas blowback”. The gases are compressed in the distal end of the suppressor and relieved via the endcap. This technology does not require a vented endcap so muzzle flash can remain minimized as much as possible, however vented caps are optional. With the extreme low gas blowback this suppressor has a different tone than compared with tradition baffle suppressors. The VLB25 baffles may look like a baffle but do not behave like a classic baffle and behave very different. The Operator suppressor comes in either a direct thread or quick disconnect configuration using the Stealth Lok™ QD system. The Stealth Lok™ QD system allows the suppressors to be rapidly installed on multiple firearms. With the 6 locking lugs and the ability to be installed in any orientation makes it quick and easy to attach in any light condition day or night and without any ratcheting mechanisms it makes it very stealthy when connecting and disconnecting, giving the attachment device it’s name.
