If you head southeast toward Arlington from the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, you will soon come to a small industrial park just off of Highway 287. Nestled in with several other businesses including a manufacturing company and machine shop, a laser etching/engraving operation, and a metal and Cerakote finishing service, you will find a premium firearms manufacturer: Lone Star Armory. Brownells, in large part, started the retro resurgence of the last few years. While they did get out of the game with complete guns, they still offer parts and uppers. The most recent batch of uppers is more modern and includes the Brownells 733, a Model 733 clone. Yes, the 733 we all know and love from the movie Heat. When Brownells offered me a review of this upper, I promptly sent them my shipping info and I started loading magazines.

Palmetto State Armory’s sub-brand Harrington & Richardson has a pair of new retro pistols for sale. These new models feature an arm brace that mimics the look of the classic CAR-15 stock while still being intended for single-handed use. It is adjustable for the length of pull and has a QD sling cup in the rear of the brace for shooting with sling tension.

Automatkarbin 24 in Swedish, or Automatic carbine 24 translated into English, is one of the new firearms that will be used by the Swedish Army. Let’s start calling it Ak24 for short!

Rosco Manufacturing has collaborated with Barrel & Hatchet to introduce Rosco’s newest K9 16’’ Barrel for all of the Do-It-Yourself AR-15 builders. This new offering utilizes an intermediate length gas system, is chambered in the common and popular 5.56mm NATO, and punches in at a reasonable $225 MSRP.

This is a review of the Schmidt & Bender 3-20×50 PM II Ultra Short riflescope, as a part of my mission to review all of the PM II models. I am very fond of the Schmidt & Bender 5-20×50 PM II Ultra Short, which is a perfect fit if you want to make your quality AR platform perform better. I own one, and I kind of wanted (at least) one more. Enter the Schmidt & Bender 3-20×50 PM II Ultra Short, which attracted me with its larger magnification range.

Michigan-based Next Level Armament have announced the introduction of their 6ARC Phoenix Rifle. The new rifle has Helix 6 Precision Carbon Fiber barrels and is available in 16”, 18”, and 20” barrel lengths, all with a 1-7 twist rate.  The 6ARC chambering joins their range which also includes .308, .450 Bushmaster, 5.56×45, 450 Legend, and 9mm. MSRP on the new rifle starts at $3,039.

NEMO Arms has released a new line of AR-15 pattern rifles called the  FX Series. The NEMO Arms FX family of rifles currently consists of two members which are mostly identical except for the chambers: 5.56×45 NATO vs .223 Wylde. With an MSRP of $1,495, these are the most affordable .223/5.56 offerings in the NEMO Arms catalog (rifles with comparable specs from their Battle-Light line start at $2,450).

Photo Of The Day – we’re looking at Norwegian soldiers belonging to the eFP Battlegroup Lithuania, as they’re using their Heckler & Koch 416N. Norway was among the first countries to start using the HK416, already in 2008.

In this episode of TFBTV Show Time, Hop visits the Smith & Wesson booth at NRAAM 2024 to check out the new short barreled .300 Blackout version of the S&W/Gemtech GVAC upper. The GVAC system is a bore evacuator that significantly reduces gas blowback to the shooter’s face, which works well in conjunction with Gemtech’s new reduced back pressure suppressor series.

After a long hiatus, Barrett has reintroduced the REC7 DI! In this episode of TFBTV Show Time, Hop stops by the Barrett booth to check out the new version of the REC7 and how Barrett has updated it. Can the REC7 hang with the new crop of ARs? Time will tell.

In this episode of TFBTV Showtime, Hop is at the Anderson Manufacturing booth to check out their new Frontline series of AR15s. The Frontline series is based on Anderson’s Defender series of law enforcement rifles, and are available in multiple lengths with M-LOK or quad rail handguards.

Barrett Firearms has announced the return of their REC7 DI (Direct Impingement) AR-15 patterned rifle with a nod to Stoner yet touting some modern accoutrements. Barrett states on their website that this rifle has “a nod to Eugene Stoner and his direct impingement design, [and] Barrett is proud to produce the REC7 DI.”

TFB’s Photo Of The Day is more than a bunch of photos, it’s also the crazy story that the rifle shown here went to the highest bidder at $47,049. The rifle is a Novekse 14.5″ Afghan in 6mm ARC. I recently fired my first rounds with 6mm ARC, and yes I wouldn’t mind one for shooting DMR or even hunting. The suppressor is a CGS Hunter V1, and the scope is a Leupold Mark 5HD 2-10x.

Photo Of The Day and this is Lt. Col. Allen West – BDRX-15 Limited Edition Rifle made by Watchtower Firearms. The rifle has a 16-inch chrome-lined match-grade barrel with a .223 Wylde chamber, 1:8 twist rate, black nitride finish and covered by a 15-inch X7M free-floating handguard. Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Allen B. West is a Christian constitutional conservative, combat veteran, and former member of the US Congress.

Centurion Arms and their CM4 rifle in full FDE in today’s Photo Of The Day, taken and edited by Greg Skaz Photography. This is a great-looking rifle, especially in this color combination and with the Trijicon optics. Centurion Arms is a renowned manufacturer and supplier of firearms and firearm accessories, primarily focusing on rifles, rifle components, and related gear.

Hydra Weaponry has spent years of R&D to develop their new Hydra 10, a DPMS-patterned rifle in .308 Winchester suited for those with long-range precision shooting to tactical applications in mind. The furniture is from BLK Systems and the gun has a Quick-Change Barrel Upper Receiver (QCB-D). The lower is compatible with standard SR-25 magazines. The Hydra 10 comes in barrel lengths of 16″ and 18″, offered in both black and coyote tan color options, with a suggested retail price (MSRP) of $2,349.

Today we’ll take a look at the 16-inch Bear Creek Arsenal BC-15 upper receiver fitted with their Cold Hammer Forged (CHF) barrel  I used this upper with a number of different optics and various types of 5.56x45mm NATO loads, so let’s take a look at how it did.

In the video interview at IWA 2024, James Reeves explores the Antreg ARS M4s rifle, a high-end firearm on the AR platform and similar to the HK 416. The rifle, chambered in .223 Rem, is notable for its versatility, offering 28 different variations that can be customized in terms of colors, engraving, and laser marking. The ARS M4s features a piston mechanism and fully ambidextrous controls, including the charging handle, magazine release, and safety selector, which can be tailored in length. Smith & Wesson have announced the release of their new M&P 15 Sport III. The Sport III weighs 6.52 lbs, has a 16-inch barrel with a 1:8 twist rate and a 15-inch free-floated M-LOK handguard. The M&P 15 Sport III has an MSRP of $799.
