Wolff Gunsprings Now Selling Galil Magazine Springs
There is finally a good way to freshen up a tired Galil magazine. Wolff Gunsprings is now selling replacement Galil magazine springs for both the standard 35-round and extended 50-round models. These new springs also add 5% more power than standard springs for reliable feeding.
More Magazines @ TFB:
Galil builds from American Tactical Imports, James River Armory, and Century as well as original IMI guns are all floating around the US market. However, most of the magazines that feed those guns are fairly old and have original springs. For example, one of my 50-round magazines has a 1982 date stamp on it, and it has feeding problems. After 40 years of use, a new spring is probably a good idea.
Wolff notes that these springs are incompatible with the Galil ACE magazines with bolt hold open followers. Those followers are also made of plastic. There is no word on compatibility with South African polymer magazines, but they also use plastic followers and would probably not fit.
Both the 50-round and 35-round models follow the same pricing structure. A single spring is $7.99, a three-pack costs $18.49, and a ten-pack is $49.99. They are in stock now direct from Wolff Gunsprings.

I wonder what happens if you put a 50 rounder magazine spring in a 35 round mag body? Something funny, I'm sure. Reduced capacity at worst, maybe too much tension to feed properly? Maybe ultra reliable feeding with Negev LMG on standard gas setting...
I wonder if the will fit old East German Weiger mags?
