New Year Inbound, New Drip! Savage Arms A22 Takedown & Model 64
We have a new year inbound shortly so we all know what that means… the avalanche of new firearm announcements is upon us! The Savage Arms A22 Takedown is a “sleeper” when it comes to a high-quality rimfire rifle at an affordable cost. You get a takedown model that can easily be stored in a backpack, you can also hide additional magazines inside the stock, it is threaded for silencers, and comes with a modern Picatinny rail for optics. All accouterments that a modern shooter desires.
Westfield, Massachusetts – December, 2023 – Savage Arms announces new additions to its popular and extensive rimfire line that include a new A22 Takedown in FDE and several new color options in the Model 64. All line extensions are now shipping.

The A22 still suffers from a bad design feature of needing to remove the scope if you decide to clean the gun.
The access to the rear stock screw has to be approached from the top down rather than from the bottom up of the stock.
I'd really like to see them offer a takedown stick similar to the Magpul backpacker. It would be very handy to be able to keep the halves locked together. Also, takedown versions of the .22 magnum model would be very much appreciated.
