Daniel Defense, manufacturers of the now iconic DD MK18 5.56mm carbine and other long arms, have just announced the Daniel SoundGuard suppressor lineup. Comprised of the SG-556, SG-30, and the SG-30Ti, the new rifle suppressors have every caliber covered from 5.56mm to .300PRC and everything in between. Outfitted with the now universal 1.375 x 24 mount threads, the SoundGuard silencers come with a direct thread mount, but can accept other industry-standard QD systems as well. Featuring a gas-flow dynamic design to minimize blow back, toxic gasses are pushed forward and not back into the shooter’s face.

Specifications, details, and other manufacturer information can be found below.

NEW RELEASE: The Daniel SoundGuard Suppressor Lineup

Daniel SoundGuard Powered by KGM Suppressors utilize cutting-edge gas-flow dynamics that eliminate over-gassing and direct most gasses forward, not back in a shooter’s face. So, you experience less toxic gas blowback and can concentrate on putting more shots on target. State-of-the-art KGM technology significantly lowers impulse noise levels, protecting against hearing loss, while a patent- pending baffle stack and proprietary coating on internal parts reduce a firearm’s flash signature to virtually zero. Patent-pending gas-flow pathing stabilizes rounds to ensure extreme accuracy with minimal point-of-impact shift.

The SG-556 is compatible with .223 and 5.56mm caliber firearms and is constructed of lightweight but extremely durable stainless steel, so you don’t have to baby it, and it won’t weigh down your barrel. It attaches/detaches in seconds via an included adapter utilizing the HUB standard 1.375-24 UNS, which provides secure attachment while adding minimal length and allowing for the use of a variety of other muzzle attachments, such as Keymo and ASR. Every SG-556 suppressor is stamped with the Daniel name, which means it’s backed with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

Daniel Defense® Announces New Daniel™ SoundGuard™ Suppressor Line

BLACK CREEK, GA – Daniel Defense, manufacturer of the world’s finest firearms and accessories, today
announces the release of a new line of hard-use and titanium suppressors.

Daniel SoundGuard Suppressors Powered by KGM provide multiple benefits to the user, with an emphasis
on backpressure reduction. “Through years of working with multiple military/law enforcement agencies –
as well as consumers – our team pinpointed specific criteria for this family of suppressors,” said Marty
Daniel, President and CEO. “In addition to the obvious, sound reduction, limiting the amount of toxic
gasses, reducing muzzle flash and accuracy were all critical.”

These well-balanced, reliable suppressors utilize cutting-edge gas-flow dynamics that eliminate over-
gassing and direct gas forward, substantially decreasing the amount of blowback. State-of-the-art KGM
technology significantly lowers impulse noise levels, and a patent-pending baffle stack and proprietary
coating on internal parts reduce a firearm’s flash signature to virtually zero. Patent-pending gas-flow
pathing stabilizes rounds to ensure extreme accuracy with minimal point-of-impact shift.

Daniel SoundGuard Suppressors will feature the industry-standard 1.375-24UNS thread pitch, which
allows for the use of multiple attachment options such as Keymo and ASR, and will debut with three
direct-thread models: SG-556 (.223/5.56mm), SG-30 (.223 Rem – 300PRC), and SG-30Ti Titanium (.223 – 300PRC). Each model will include a direct-thread adapter and is backed by a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

For the price of the can alone, I can get a YHM Turbo that weighs less and costs less with a tax stamp included in the total price.
Also not a fan of Daniel Defense. Their RIS rail is iconic, but the politics of the company would have me shop elsewhere.

@William The Turbo cans are a great option, even before factoring in their extremely attractive pricing. I wish they would start shipping with the kurz qd mount instead of the excessively long mount they currently come with.

Yeah, she chubby. I noticed that the Ti can is listed at the same 7” length as the other two, but is visibly longer in the picture. Maybe the weight is also a typo.

Its cool that they did the built-in brake thing.

@Brian Look at the mount adapters for this can on DD's site. There's no final finishing to speak of on some of those surfaces. I agree that more QC increases cost. Dead Air is an example of a company that KGM manufactures for, with regular reports of problems like the baffles collapsing on early Sierra5's or bad threads on their muzzle devices. There are plenty of other options on the market with reputations for very high quality, so without hard performance data on this can it falls flat on that alone.
