The .22 Long Rifle cartridge is perfect for two applications: fun and dispatching varmints. Set in a platform that’s equally suited for both, the caliber truly shines. The new Volquartsen ENV Pistol appears to be exactly that.

Volquartsen news @ TFB:

Perfect for a fun day at the range, this versatile pistol is red dot ready with a receiver that is drilled and tapped for most popular red dots. This allows you to keep the red dot as close to the bore-axis as possible. The barreled action is then fit into an ODIN Chassis System that offers compact versatility for the 10/22© platform. It incorporates all the current AR-15 attachment standards for a new level of function.

The NEW .22 LR Volquartsen ENV Pistol

The Volquartsen ENV Pistol is the latest in the world of braced, bolt-action pistols. Chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge, the ENV makes use of magazines for the Ruger 10/22 platform. The ENV 22 LR aluminum receiver is mated with the ODIN Chassis by Enoch Industries. On the user end, the pistol comes equipped with an SB Tactical arm brace. On the muzzle end is a thread protector, which covers the 1/2 x 28 threads, making this pistol a great host for a rimfire suppressor. The gun features the TG2000 trigger group and comes standard with a Magpul MOE-K grip. The handguard provides two M-LOK slots per side and comes with a Slate Stop hand stop.

I've come to the conclusion that the 10/22 custom/aftermarket scene is just one of those areas where the price/performance ratio is completely out of whack to the uninitiated like myself, and the buyers don't care.

@Beju This is correct. The only part that makes sense is that they're still relatively inexpensive to shoot. And they suppress well.

Unless that trigger is the most ludicrously amazing trigger ever made for the 10/22 platform, you could literally build this exact same pistol for under 1k.

@Ahab Really? Their 10/22 pattern receiver is $348, the barrel is $400+, $265 for a bolt, and $273 for a trigger. Add a couple hundred for a chassis, and about $160 for the brace.

You can make a semi auto that looks like this for less. You can't build this for much less.
