Vortex Introduces Viper HD 11-33x50 Spotting Scopes

With hunting season upon us, we’re seeing manufacturers drop more and more gear designed to assist you in capturing that trophy and filling your freezer. Vortex, ever the helpful hand, is throwing its hat in the ring with the Viper HD 11-33x50 spotting scope, available with either a straight or angled eyepiece.

The Viper HD 11-33x50 is made for hunters on the move. Its lightweight and compact design provides mobility and tactical advantage in the field. Fast and versatile, this Viper HD is built on an Arca-Swiss compatible foot, allowing hunters to deploy or stow the optic quickly and easily.

Construction

The shockproof Viper HD 11-33x50 is designed to withstand those inevitable impacts that happen in the field. Rubber armor creates a durable exterior barrier while providing a secure, non-slip grip. The Viper HD is Argon gas purged and O-ring sealed, for fogproof and waterproof performance able to withstand harsh weather conditions.

Optics

Powered by a clear HD Optical System and optimized with select glass elements, the Vortex Viper HD 11-33x50 promises to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness and exceptional resolution. XR Plus provides the ultimate anti-reflective lens coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces for maximum light transmission, peak clarity, and excellent low-light performance. Dielectric prism multi-layer coatings ensure bright, clear images with outstanding color fidelity while dramatically reducing chromatic aberration. Rounding them off, Armortek Ultra-hard exterior lens coatings defend against scratches, oil, and dirt.

Features

The Viper HD 11-33x50 has dual focus knobs for precise control and a field of view of 182’ (3.5º) - 95’(1.8º) at 1000 yards with a close focus of 9’. Eye relief ranges from 16mm - 19mm. The spotting scope has a total length and weight of 11” and 27.4 oz for the straight eyepiece and 10.3” and 27.8 oz for the angled.

Included with every Vortex Viper HD 11-33x50 is a neoprene case, tethered lens covers, and lens cloth. MSRP for either model is $849.99.
