The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has selected a new shotgun, the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol. These guns are made in Tennesee, so they will be serving close to home. Beretta’s tactical shotguns have been on a roll lately and this is another sign of that success.

Beretta @ TFB:

Patrol rifles have increasingly been displacing shotguns as the preferred long guns of law enforcement. However, for an agency specializing in wildlife matters, there are some very good reasons to keep a shotgun around. Between birdshot, buckshot, and slugs, a shotgun offers ammunition options to address any kind of animal emergency.

The A300 Ultima Patrol carries 7+1 shells and has tactial features like an enlarged loading port and oversized controls. Along with those features, the TWRA also gets training for their armorers as part of the package deal.

“We are proud to be adding such a high quality shotgun to our officer gear,” said TWRA Executive Director Maxedon. “These guns are made in Tennessee and will be put to good use serving Tennesseans, ensuring public safety, and protecting wildlife species for generations to come.”
“We are honored to support our home state TWRA officers with a shotgun born from the needs of US law enforcement and proudly manufactured at our Gallatin, TN manufacturing facility”, said Stefano Itri, Vice President of International Sales & BDT USA, “The A300 Patrol carries on the Beretta tradition of excellence, providing our law enforcement officers with a reliable, accurate and durable product they can trust.”

Oh sure, they get the 7+1, but the plebs get the 5+1. (im sure you can order the 7 round tube and replace your 5 round tube but they should be sold with the 7+1 as standard..)

Youre thinking of the 1301. AFAIK the A300 is still allowed in with the 7 round mags

Every 300 I’ve seen has poor part fit, less rigid plastic parts, the Kick Off system is pretty poorly built.

Buy the 400, give TN a deal for it not being locally produced and officers will have the best designed/built autoloader, not a shoddy “built to a poverty price” embarrasment for Beretta.
