Springfield Armory announced their best polymer pistol yet close to 1 year ago in the Echelon. Now, if you are a bonified Springfield junkie like me, they have even more variants to wet our whistles and tempt our wallets. Today, Springfield Armory has announced two new Cerakoted color offerings with an OD Green and Desert FDE Echelon pistol now available.

Spring has sprung which allows for much more time outdoors shooting, hunting, and playing with new firearms. If you are like our very own Luke Cuenco, and love yourself a good rimfire firearm, then you will be pleased to hear that Springfield Armory has announced that they are expanding their colorway offerings on the 2020 Rimfire Target with new Coyote and OD Green options.

HERA Arms from Germany have an interesting product in their “7SIX2“, which of course comes from the caliber 7.62 mm. It’s basically a semi-automatic AR clone with a 16.75″ barrel, a KeyMod handguard, an HRS buttstock and a sports compensator. The price is around 2,959.00 EUR, roughly the same in US dollars.  

Nobody likes standing next to a shooter who uses a muzzle brake. Fortunately for the user of the brake, there are products that can help you save your friendships. The Strike Industries Oppressor and Oppressor Lite are not new products, but Strike is known for listening to its customers. Color trends have been angled toward OD green for some time now, which is why Strike Industries has now released its Oppressor series in ODGline.

The Steyr Arms M9-A2 pistol is one of those polymer-framed handguns that often don’t get enough attention. The Steyr M9-A2 is a 4-inch barreled polymer-framed 17-round capacity semi-automatic pistol that incorporates a novel trapezoidal sight system, and an adjustable grip system that accommodates the user’s preference in grip size. Steyr Arms USA just revealed a new grip frame option for the M9-A2 via their social media pages and is dubbing this new variant of the M9-A2 the “Green New Deal.” The new OD Green grip variant hasn’t been listed on their website yet but it should be soon according to the steyrarms_us Instagram page.

If you’ve been waiting around for the right time or the right color of the popular KP-15 Lower Reciever to come out, then maybe this is your chance. KE Arms has announced that they will be doing a limited run of OD Green KP-15 lowers and that they are currently in production. The KP-15 lower receivers only started showing up in people’s hands this year and since then there have been loads of updates, accessories, and services made available for the lightweight monolithic polymer lower.

I came up into my love of guns in a time when we FDE’d all the things. I still find it tempting, but times have changed. In recent years, we’ve all noticed the increasing nods to the past. Looking ever so slightly into our history, O.D. green has come roaring back. While most older camo patterns on guns can feel more retro than functional, olive drab does the perfect dance of both. EDC is always a hot topic, but the importance of medical gear is often overlooked. This might be because it doesn’t seem as sexy of a topic, but it is an important part of the gear we might need. There is a greater probability that we will need to plug holes than make them. This simply means the likelihood of us having to defensively protect ourselves is far outweighed by the probability we will come across someone in medical trauma needing medical gear. However, there are some drawbacks to medical gear. Often medical gear is large and difficult to carry, getting torn up when carried in a pocket or taking up valuable space for other tools. Defense Mechanisms came out with an ankle med kit to solve this problem. I previously had never carried anything on my ankle so it was a new endeavor for me, but it was worth the effort.

To break in the new year of 2018, Canik has decided to bust out some new colors for one of their most popular pistols. The Canik TP9SF Elite has broadened its color options so now you can hit the range with either a Black, Tungsten Grey or Olive Drab Green (OD Green) Cerakote model.

Beretta has recently added to their website a number of new accessories and parts for the APX pistol. Among the new products, there is a frame lacking the finger grooves, new sights and sight adjustment tool, competition recoil and striker springs, a light and a  holster. Let’s take a look at arguably the most interesting one of the mentioned products – the frame without finger grooves.

Fime Group, the sole importer of Rex Zero 1 pistols, is officially announcing two new colors that will run you the same price as their base models. The two new colors are Olive Drab Green (OD Green) and Grey.

Steyr Arms has added an OD Green M9-A1 to their pistol lineup finally. Even though they have been using OD Green polymer on their firearms for nearly 50 years on both the SSG 69 sniper rifle and the AUG, they must have just got around to it. I guess late is better than never and it sure as hell looks cool.

Glock unveiled two new Glocks here at the NRA Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Ga. Sadly it is not the 17M but the 17FS and 19FS.
