The sun is about to set on this Friday and you know what that brings, Friday Night Lights. Your source for night vision and thermal-related content. Tonight we take a close look at the Nocturn Industries UANVB-R, the metal ruggedized Katana dual tube night vision housing.

Salutations and a warm welcome on this Friday night. Last week we took a look at the Wilcox RAPTAR S. Well, today we have something that has been long awaited from Nocturn Industries, their TAPB (Tanto Articulating Powered Bridge) aka Daisho bridge.

It is the last day of the work week so that means it is another installment of Friday Night Lights. Today we take a closer look at the Chimera-10, an articulating bridge for ANVIS-10 panoramic night vision goggles. Folding Panos!

At the beginning of the year we got a sneak peak at the Nocturn Industries UANVB-OC, aka the Samurai. Well they are branching out with more housings such as their metal Manticore and Chimera bridge.

Earlier this year Nocturn Industries teased a photo of their Chimera quadtube panoramic night vision goggle (PNVG). See the image below. The prototype used ANVIS10 eyepieces and RPO objective lenses. What was truly interesting was the fact this goggle housing is articulated.

It has been discussed and debated for a long time that it is safe to expose night vision to daylight with the unit turned off. For the most part that is true. Some have argued that direct sunlight can affect the image intensifiers even without any power circulating through the tube. Unfortunately, several individuals all experienced a sun blem in their night vision goggles a couple days ago.

It is Friday and you know what that means, night vision show and tell. This week we have some new stuff coming from Nocturn Industries. They are releasing a night vision monocular night called Tanto. Nocturn has also been busy upgrading Crye Airframe helmets with their M-LOK rails.
