POTD: The MAC-11 at Poulin's Antiques and Auctions
Today we have two pictures from Poulin’s Antiques and Auctions and their auction held in May of 2021. Some auctions contain a lot of objects that may not be of your highest interest, but here and there you’ll find some exceptional items like these Ingram MAC-11, Military Armament Corporation Model 11. These seem to be chambered in the 9x19mm, but .380 ACP was also available.
Phoenix Homeowners find Hidden Stash of Guns Buried
During what was probably a weekend landscaping chore, some Phoenix homeowners got more than they bargained for when they started digging a hole for a tree. To their surprise, they dug up a duffle bag that contained a hidden stash of 4 guns and several magazines. This is all according to a post by the Phoenix Police Department who currently has the contents of the duffle bag under investigation.
POTD: Streetsweeper/Mac 11 Over Under
There are people who live the NFA life and there is this guy. I am not sure where this photo is originally from. I found it in a gun group. From the picture there appears to be a geriatric fireams enthusiast who looks like he knows how to have fun with his Streetsweeper/Mac11 over under.
Welcome a New Member to the Concealed SMG Family: Meet Thomas the SMG
I am sure you’ve heard about the briefcases that are designed to house a firearm not only providing a concealment for the gun but also either linking the trigger to the briefcase handle or having a quick release mechanism. Perhaps the most known guns that have such briefcases designed for are the MP5K or AKS-74U. But did you know that there is a new member in this family? Meet Thomas the SMG!
POTD: MAC-11 Briefcase
NFASales.com is selling a transferable Mac-11 in .380 acp and it comes with a working briefcase. We all know of the H&K briefcase for the MP5K well there is one for the MAC-11. It is not quite the same as the H&K briefcase though. The H&K briefcase uses a modified claw mount to hold onto the MP5K receiver whereas the Mac-11 is held in with a custom molded interior and velcro straps. The H&K Briefcase has a metal shroud that protects the inside of the case,
Bigshooterist Talks About His Frankengun (971D)
Jeff of Bigshooterist YouTube channel has released a video where he talks about the machine gun that he has created. This is a very strange looking firearm, to say the least. This gun is made of all kind of different gun parts fitted together to become an ultimate Frankengun.
POTD: The Great Wall Of NFA
This is my friend’s wall of NFA fun. He is an FFL. This is only 1 of three walls. Mostly everything there is select fire or NFA of some sort. Most have been converted while the KRISS Vector and H&K UMP are bonafide machine guns from factory. I took this photo while filling out paper work for an Alpha Dog silencer that I am getting.
Operating Systems 201: Telescoping Bolts
Previously in TFB’s series on weapon operating mechanisms, we examined both the closed-bolt blowback system and the open-bolt API blowback system, two very close relatives that share a common feature: Closure of the breech through the inertia of the breechblock mass alone. What this means for small arms designers is that they must engineer a system where the breechblock is large enough to have sufficient mass, while having enough room to reciprocate the distance necessary for reliable ejection and feeding. In a standard submachine gun design using the API blowback system, for example, the breechblock is configured behind the breech end of the barrel, so that it can reciprocate. This is an easy design to engineer, and can be made simply and easily.
