POTD: Spanish Heckler & Koch G36E
One of the purposes of TFB’s Photo Of The Day is to broaden the audience for the excellent work done by professionals from combat photography to still and action photography of firearms. A perfect picture may take everything between a split second to months of planning, and it would be sad to see that kind of work go unnoticed. Above you see a Spanish mentor for the Cabo Verde Armed Forces, as he leads weapons training during the exercise Flintlock in Volta, Ghana, 2023. The G36E is painted to blend in.
Heckler & Koch G36 For Sale in Canada
The list of Non-Restricted Firearms in Canada continues to surprise. About a month ago we had the Chinese Type 81 LMG in Canada, and now it’s time for the legendary Heckler & Koch G36. These are sold by Tactical Imports Corp. (Mississauga, Ontario) and come with either a Match Grade barrel from Lothar Walther or HK original barrel (sold out, despite the additional $2,000).
POTD: A Rifle With A View – Heckler & Koch G36 A3
This Gewehr 36, or G36, is looking over the largest multinational training area in Europe. The location is Grafenwöhr in eastern Bavaria, Germany. The Grafenwoehr Training Area is located directly south-west of the town, and became an important training site for the U.S. Army and allied forces after the World War II. As you can see, it is still in use, and it also looks like there’s plenty of room for the 5.56×45 mm to stretch out.
POTD: German Fernspaher with suppressed Heckler & Koch G36
We’ve had a look at German Fernspähers before, but it’s time again.
POTD: Spanish Army G36 DMR
Today’s POTD is pretty interesting, we have a member of Spain’s Special Operations Forces armed with a Heckler & Koch G36, in an intriguing configuration. The SOF Operator’s G36KE appears to be set up in a Designated Marksman role with an added cheek riser fixed to the folding stock, a shortened (possibly 15 or 20 round) magazine and an adjustable power scope. I can’t make out the make or model, can you? If so let us know in the comments. The rifle is topped off with a custom digital camouflage paint job. His sidearm appears to be a Heckler & Koch USP, the Spanish Army’s standard issue pistol.
Heckler & Koch G36 for Latvian National Guard
Latvia’s armed forces and border guards are set to receive new Heckler & Koch G36s. On the 11th January, the Latvian Ministry of Defence issued a press release announcing the new contract with the German small arms manufacturer. The 7 year contract, worth 13 million Euros or $16 million, is said to be for both rifles and other types of weapons – probably including H&K’s AG36 40mm grenade launcher, already in Latvian service.
