Glock enthusiasts rejoice, there’s a new Field Toolkit for Glock pistols from Fit It Sticks around. Some of the specialized tools included are front sight tool, base plate removal tool and a channel liner tool. It’s not often that you have to open up the bolt of your Remington 700 rifle to clean it but when you do you’ll want to make sure you’re not marring it up in the process. I have used the Spuhr Fix It Sticks kit for years, and if I forget them I feel handicapped. It’s a small but great piece of kit for anyone who mounts and dismounts a lot of riflescopes, which you know I do for my reviews. But that kit is more or less designed and limited to scope mounts and therefore is too minimalistic if you run into other “obstacles” in your gunsmithing.

I use the Fix It Sticks whenever I mount a riflescope to any of my rifles, and it’s always a pleasure to use quality tools and hear and feel the “ticking” once you achieve the right torque. It gives me confidence that my optics are mounted the right way as I zero my rifle, and onwards. They have now released a small and handy tool kit for the Glock handguns. If you do a lot of rifle scope mounting this may be a great tool and helpful for you. Even if you only do it occasionally, it’s always nice to know that the scope is levelled when you get to the shooting range.

I’ve had the Aimpoint ACRO P-1 now for a while. I didn’t realize I was one of the first ones to get one, so I took no hurry in my evaluation. On the other hand, there are some benefits with evaluating products over time rather than just over the day.
