Blazer Brass is generally pretty affordable training ammunition that many people use to train and plink with for fun. As you can probably tell, the new 30 Super Carry cartridge has been getting a lot of attention on the ammunition side and now those who were early adopters of 30 Super Carry pistols will have new CCI Blazer Brass ammunition. Like many other offerings, this new Blazer Brass 30 Super Carry offering will come in a 115-grain FMJ projectile type and is rated for 1150 fps out of a 4-inch barrel.

Lead-based ammunition has been showing its age over the past few years. Shooters have been looking for alternatives to lead to keep from ingesting it, and because of the superior performance gained by using other materials. I think we collectively realized that the risks involved with lead aren’t worth continuing along the same path. New for 2022, CCI Blazer has introduced a lead-free option for 9mm shooters. For all of the 10mm Auto lovers and the people who have jumped on that recent surging bandwagon, there is good news in the way of ammunition because CCI is now offering their Blazer Brass in 10mm with a 180 Grain FMJ load. The CCI Blazer Brass offering has always been viewed as by many shooters as an affordable, reliable option for target shooting. It will always go “Bang!”… is safe with your firearm… and uses a preferred brass casing which is more gentle on firearms and desirable for reloaders. CCI has rolled out a new flavor of ammo specifically meant to duplicate duty loads, but at a more affordable price-point for practice with their Heavy Blazer Brass 9mm in a 147 Grain FMJ (Full-Metal Jacket). A lot of hollow point offerings for 9mm come in heavier grain weights than traditional, cheap training ammo. It only makes sense to practice with what you’ll carry, but nobody wants to go broke shooting hundreds of hollow-points. So to replicate the point of impact of a heavier bullet and its slightly different recoil impulse, CCI has introduced this heavy Blazer Brass offering.
