Have you ever found yourself huddled over your keyboard or glued to your phone as an auction counts down on that item you’ve been coveting for days? Have you ever missed out at the last minute, pipped at the post by someone swooping in at the last second? Well there’s a new website that is making online gun auctions easier and possibly less stressful!

At an event organized by the Goltz Fortress Gallery in the Czech Republic, a CZ 75 REPUBLIKA pistol was auctioned for 40,000 EUR, about 38,000 USD. The CZ 75 Republika is a limited edition pistol made in only 100 pieces, based on the CZ 75 B. It was released in 2018, to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic.

If you’re familiar with the company Tommy Built Tactical, then you’ll no doubt know exactly what the term “TMP7” implies. That’s right, Tommy Built made the effort to make an MP7 and through Gun Dog Armory has opted to auction it off with a starting bid of $90,000. However, despite the relative popularity of the MP7 platform and its status as practical unobtainium within the firearms universe, the auction for the TMP7 failed to get any bids before the item listing ended. I still think it’s pretty cool that Tommy Built Tactical made the decision to build one and is offering to sell it off to a willing customer who might have the extra six figures to throw at such a rare and prestigious item. However, in stark contrast to other firearms we’ve featured here from Gunbroker.com, I don’t think there is any arguing that this one is 100% a Hot Gat.

Most firearms that make their way from private hands through the Rock Island Auction Company usually sell for anywhere between tens of thousands up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. However, a few select items often fetch much higher prices stretching all the way into seven-figure territory. We previously reported that Han Solo’s DL-44 Blaster pistol from the 1977 film Star Wars would be going up for auction at the end of August. With the conclusion of the August 2022 Rock Island Premier Firearms Auction, we’ve finally got the results and were surprised to hear that the DL-44 Heavy Blaster pistol prop sold for a whopping $1,057,500. Full details and the results from a handful of other famous pieces will be posted below.

Two of the most well-known assets from the Tomb Raider series of video games and films will soon be up for auction at the Rock Island Auction Company. The brace of H&K USP9 Match Semi-Automatic pistols features consecutive serial numbers and was modified to serve as props by the Bapty & Co prop house and used by the character Lara Croft. The pair of HK pistols is set to be up for auction on the same day that Han Solo’s DL-44 blaster is set to go live and is expected to fetch tens of thousands at the auction house.

The Rock Island Auction Company is well known in gun circles for interesting old, unique, and rare firearms that are auctioned off to private collectors. Established in 1933 by Pat Hogan, RIAC sought to specialize in collectors’ firearms, and militaria, and pairing that auction with its associated pedigree so that its new owner can appreciate it as much as the original if not more. Since its opening in 1933, RIAC has showcased some of the most expensive firearms to ever be auctioned off in the United States and they are still going strong in 2022 with several auctions each year and three different types of auctions that cater to different types of collectors at different levels. Suffice it to say, the Rock Island Auction Company has been insanely successful and they are not showing any time of stopping. Rock Island Auction Company recently shared with us 15 of the most expensive guns that they’ve ever sold, and today we’ll be going over the top 4 most expensive firearms the Rock Island Auction Company has ever sold.

This week, we’ll take a quick look at the two revolvers I scored from a local gun auction, a Harrington & Richardson Auto Ejecting .32 S&W, and a Smith & Wesson 1917. I’m still quite stoked that I landed these historic firearms, even if it means that I’ll be widening my caliber footprint … again.

If you’re really into historic firearms and militaria, an upcoming auction from the folks at Skinner Auctioneers will heavily feature the second half of the William Rose Colonial and Revolutionary arms collection. Those familiar will know that the first half of this collection was offered back in the fall of 2021 and featured a wide variety of arms that were in use during the 17th and 18th centuries as well as other items including personal accouterments and documents from the period. The second half of the auction is to commence on February 25th, 2022 during a live auction.

The Skinner Historic Arms & Militaria Auction held in late October brought unique and rare firearms, as well as very interested buyers. Almost all of the items featured here saw military usage, with one exception being a Colt Python, said to have been used in The Man with the Golden Gun Bond film. Most of the items we’ll cover today went well beyond their estimated worth.

I’m a huge fan of Harrison Ford and of the Indiana Jones movies. Although Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is probably my favorite of the series, Raiders of the Lost Ark is probably a close second. The legendary Bapty Limited .455 Webley revolver used on-screen and in the movies is up for sale on Gunbroker.com through the well-known seller Mr.Gun Dealer. There is no telling exactly how much the revolver will go for but in the past several other Indiana Jones memorabilia have been sold off at an auction for nearly half a million dollars.

Several of Ted Nugent’s firearms, knives, bows, and other toys are currently up for auction to the general public. Ted Nugent will auction off over 400 items from his personal collection which also includes prototype guitars and personal hot rods. Since Ted is a massive fan of guns, it is no surprise that a big portion of the auctioned goods is firearms of all types.

Holts Auction House based out of North Norfolk, United Kingdom has long been a great place for finding both modern and antique second-hand guns from all across the globe. Holts has seen a recent uptick in bids for auctioned guns as COVID-19 prematurely ended the 2020 shooting season for England’s shooters.

I know as a little boy, I drooled over Hummers. Besides the fact that they were used by the military, the trucks were downright cool. Blocky, rugged, and all-terrain ready, the Hummer and by extension the military Humvee’s were a truck-fantasizing boy’s dream.

Rock Island Auction company has slowly but steadily gained an overwhelming presence in the shooting industry since the company’s start in the 1990s. For their most recent premiere auction, TFB went to check them out and see what we could find out about the company and what makes them so effective at auctioning small arms.
