TFB Review: Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrism Sight with ACSS Cyclops Gen 2 Reticle
Primary Arms is known for making affordable yet durable optics that work. They have set themselves apart from the competition with their ACSS reticle. Well, now they have a new SLx 1X MicroPrism with the ACSS reticle. This new MicroPrism optic is a tiny package that works like a quality red dot. Let’s take a closer look at this interesting optic.
New Green ACSS Vulcan Reticle for the Holosun 507C-X2
One of Holosuns most popular optics is receiving a facelift in the way of a new green illuminated ACSS Vulcan Reticle. The HS507C-X2 ACSS already comes in a red configuration and has been very popular with all sorts of pistol shooters due to its relatively easy-to-find reticle. Now, Primary Arms is offering the newest configuration of the 507C-X2 which will feature the much asked for green illuminated ACSS Vulcan reticle.
Primary Arms Optics Releases New SLx 1-6x SFP LPVO
As a major supplier of inexpensive optics, Primary Arms Optics is continually seeking to provide shooters with new budget-friendly options. To this end, Primary Arms offers their SLx line of scopes and red dots, which are available with MSRPs of $479.99 or less. Many of these scopes are available with Primary Arms’ proprietary ACSS reticles.
Holosun 507C Red Dot Sight with Primary Arms ACSS Cyclops Reticle
In recent years, Holosun has significantly elevated the quality of their red dot optics from the strictly “budget” category to become legitimate serious contenders. Many of their products, such as the 507 series, are now worth mentioning in the same conversations with established standards like the Trijicon RMR. Primary Arms, who started as an optics company in their own right before expanding to be the full-scope supplier and firearms industry powerhouse they are today, share much in common with Holosun. Their early scopes were often relegated to the purely entry-level or plinker considerations sets and not seen as viable for more serious use. Over the years they have similarly grown their offerings and expanded into higher price points with notably higher quality levels to match.
TFB Review: The Primary Arms 1-8×24 Rifle Scope With ACSS Reticle
The Primary Arms 1-8×24 rifle scope is a Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) that uses the patented Advanced Combined Sighting System (ACSS) reticle. I was already familiar with Primary Arms’ 1-6x ACSS optic, having owned it for several years. I wanted to test out the newer Primary Arms 1-8x offering as well and Primary Arms kind enough to let me give it a go.
[SHOT 2018] Primary Arms ACSS Raptor 1-6x24mm FFP
This is the first year that Primary Arms was at Range Day. They brought out a small selection of optics but the most interesting were their ACSS Raptor and ACSSTA31 Acog.
Primary Arms ACSS Broken Down Barney Style by MrGunsNGear
Primary Arms hit the jackpot when they created the ACSS. With their less expensive optics, it has proven to be a rock-star in the optics world and is so good that Trijicon themselves have picked up the reticle for inclusion in ACOGs – a move that I believe speaks volumes about the technical innovation of the scope and more importantly the character of those running the company.
