Military Armament Corp (MAC), a brand under SDS Imports, has just unveiled its latest offering -   MAC IX, a new 9mm pistol-caliber carbine (PCC). The price is $832.99, so please read on and learn more about the details.

Built around a direct blowback action, the MAC IX is a semi-automatic PCC aimed at shooters looking for a modern, compact, and modular firearm platform. The carbine boasts AR-style ergonomics, including a standard AR-15 pistol grip and controls that will feel familiar to anyone accustomed to the AR platform.

According to MAC, the MAX IX is designed and engineered in Knoxville, Tennessee. The lower receiver has “Made In Turkey” printed on it.

Topping the receiver is a full-length Picatinny rail, allowing users to easily mount optics, red dots, or backup iron sights. While the rail provides versatility for modern optics, MAC also includes click-adjustable front and rear sights for those who prefer—or require—traditional sighting systems.

The upper and lower receivers are precision-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, and the entire firearm is finished in a durable black anodized coating, giving it a sleek, utilitarian appearance.

With the growing popularity of PCCs in competitive shooting, home defense, and range use, the MAC IX should be positioned to appeal to shooters seeking a gun at an attractive price point. I’m sure the MP5 look will attract quite a few as well.

The New MAC IX is similar to my Tec-9 .22 that was purchased at the Shot Show in Las Vegas in the '90s for a fraction of the MAC IX price.

erm, I get that it doesn't have the roller delay, but is not a lower made to be super safe?

Like, no longer need a slip trip, takes AR trigger, safety, and grip...

Maybe thats the point? (I wouldn't. buy a MAC over an MKE, except if this cuts out the $500 lower to be super safe, and that lower still doesn't have the built in rear pic rail, which is a big bonus IMO.) Sucks if you already have a few MP5s or clones, but I like the folders more than sliders and losing out to being able to toss an extra a2/a3 stock on is meaningless to me if this is an HK clone that comes nearly SS ready. Like an AR type ready...

Oh, and yea, HK mags, no last round bolt hold open, but I hope no one is using these as fighting weapons These are toys and grail guns, especially when auto or semi-full auto. MPX or APC9 is better and way more trustworthy, but more than 2x the price, sand probably still 1/3rd more pricey after SS and stock+ sbr tax...

The Turks really need US dollars though. If this design does't work with SS than its just dumb, except the rear pic rail, wich is something I wish the new makers would offer, like Lee Sporting, so I don't need to also add a giant cap to add a pic rail stock.
