Federal Brings 22 Creedmoor to Fusion and American Eagle
Federal Ammunition has brought the 22 Creedmoor to its Fusion and American Eagle rifle lines. According to Federal, both loads are being delivered to dealers nationwide and come packaged in 20-round boxes.
The Fusion offering is a 75-grain bonded Soft Point rated at 3,300 fps, carrying product number F22CRDFS2 at an MSRP of $47.99. The American Eagle load pairs a 75-grain Total Metal Jacket bullet with the same 3,300 fps muzzle velocity under SKU AE22CRD1, with an MSRP of $40.99.
Product No. | Description | MSRP |
|---|---|---|
F22CRDFS2 | Fusion, 22 Creedmoor, 75 gr SP, 3,300 fps | $47.99 |
AE22CRD1 | American Eagle, 22 Creedmoor, 75 gr TMJ, 3,300 fps | $40.99 |
"The screaming 22 Creedmoor can push heavier 22-caliber bullets more than 3,000 fps for flat trajectories, long-range accuracy, and hard-hitting power on coyotes and other predators," said Josh Vickers, Federal's Centerfire Rifle Ammunition Product Manager.
For the competition crowd, Federal says an 80-grain Sierra Tipped MatchKing load is coming soon in the same chambering.

It looks like they finally caught up with my .22-250Ackley improved with its 8" twist, a rifle I've had for years. At least I won't have to fireform brass anymore.
How is the 22 Creedmoor different than the military 5.56 ammunition?
If not the same size bullet, then close enough for comparison purposes.
