Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by to check out our NRAAM 2022 recap. Today we’ve got on TFBTV’s Hop and TFB’s Austin to talk a bit about this year’s NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibits. Austin, Hop, and I were fortunate enough to be able to go and cover the event for TFB and TFBTV and despite the controversy surrounding the event, we managed to have a great time while getting you guys the latest news and releases from the firearms world. In today’s episode, we talk about some of our favorite guns from the event, what we thought about it and how it compared to other gun conventions we’ve been to.

Palmetto State Armory unveiled their new STANAG magazine compatible AK-556 at NRAAM 2022.  The new model comes ready to accept your favorite AR-pattern magazines and is loaded with new features.  I had a chance to sit down with Palmetto State Armory to go over the new AK-556 at this year’s NRA Annual Meeting.

Trijicon unveiled their new Compact ACOG reticles at this year’s NRA Annual Meeting.  The newest TA44 1.5x models now feature an RTR .223 Reticle and RTR 9mm PCC Reticle.  Here’s all you need to know about the new compact ACOGs from Trijicon.

Part of the great thing about trade shows like NRAAM 2022 is that you get to see more than just cool guns, you also get to see lots of cool tactical gear. We stopped by the Wilder Tactical booth to check and see if there were any new products they had released for NRAAM 2022 and sure enough, they not only had their new Urban Assault magazine pouches but a prototype of their upcoming rifle/double pistol magazine pouch that is set to release sometime in the next couple of months.

The newest EDC flashlight from SureFire was featured during NRAAM 2022 with the introduction of the new SureFire EDC2-DFT flashlight. This new pocket-sized flashlight is extremely powerful (550 lumens) and features a rechargeable SureFire 18650 lithium-ion battery, an IPX7 waterproof rating, and is intended for use as a convenient everyday carry flashlight.

Manufactured Perfection, Smooth Precision. These are the hallmarks of the Pristine bolt action receiver. Released just in time for NRAAM 2022, the Pristine bolt action receiver claims to be the smoothest bolt action currently on the market and it is also multi-caliber capable meaning you can train with less expensive ammunition, and then break out the expensive stuff for your PRS match when every second under the timer counts.

Anderson Manufacturing unveiled their new AM10 Gen2 at this year’s NRAAM.  Three different variants of this new DPMS-pattern design were on display with various barrel lengths.  I sat down with representatives from Anderson to go over these three new models at NRAAM 2022.

While the TFB Team was out perusing the new offerings at NRAAM 2022, we came across the XS Sights booth. XS Sights has been gradually expanding their product offerings beyond just iron sights and they gave TFB a sneak preview of one of their newest products, a red dot compatible sight adjustment tool, set to be made available sometime in June of 2022.

Featured on TFB before, NRAAM 2022 was our first chance to get a hands-on look at the new Walther WMP pistol.  Chambered in .22 WMR, this full-size pistol comes feature-loaded right out of the box.  I had a chance to sit down with Walther at NRAAM 2022 and go over some of the features of this new pistol.

Dead Air unveiled their new Sierra-5 5.56 silencer at NRAAM 2022.  The new Sierra-5 comes from the factory with either a Xeno or Key-Mo mount.  I had a chance to get a first look at the Dead Air Sierra-5 and go over the details with the company’s owner Mike Pappas.

Colt unveiled a new .22LR target variant of the King Cobra at NRAAM 2022.  Available in both 6″ and 4″ barrel configurations, the new King Cobra Target is where rimfire meets class.  I had a chance to sit down with Colt at NRAAM 2022 to go over the details of the new King Cobra.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop checks out the new FN-15 rifles. The TAC3 has a 16″ barrel with a mid-length gas system, and the DMR3 has an 18″ barrel with a rifle-length gas system. They both have new FN furniture, cold hammer forged barrels, and wedge lock free float handguards.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop visits the Viridian booth to check out their new green dot pistol optics. The Viridian RFX series of green dot sights consists of three models; the smallest RFX15, the shmedium RFX25, and the full size RFX35. All three have shake awake, night vision settings, 30k hour battery life, and a 3 MOA green dot.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop visits the CZ booth at NRAAM 2022 to get the low down on the new Scorpion 3+ series. The newest generation of the CZ Scorpion has a revamped grip and magazine release system and is available with a new 7″ barrel or as the micro version.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop visits the Palmetto State Armory booth to check out the new AK-556. This AKM pattern rifle is chambered in 5.56 and feeds from regular STANAG magazines. It also has a true last round bolt hold open feature, and an AR-style magazine release.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop takes a look at the new rimfire version of the Colt King Cobra Target. The King Cobra .22 LR rimfire has a 10-shot cylinder and the same adjustable target sights as the .357 Magnum version. Coming to TFB’s Rimfire Report near you, soon.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop checks out Anderson Manufacturing’s new Gen 2 big-bore AR platform. The AM-10 Gen 2 is available in three barrel lengths, with receivers and barrels made in-house, and Magpul furniture as standard.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop visits the Walther booth at NRAAM 2022 to check out the new WMP: Walther Magnum Pistol. This new semi-automatic .22 Magnum pistol is optics ready, has a 15 round standard magazine capacity, and no less than four magazine releases!

Dead Air has finally released a dedicated 5.56 suppressor! In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop checks out the new Dead Air Sierra-5 at NRAAM 2022. Approximately 6″ in length, and weighing in at approximately 13oz, the Sierra-5 is available with either Keymo or Xeno mounts and is finely knurled like a piece of exercise equipment or a Dead Air Wolverine.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop checks out the new IWI Masada Slim at NRAAM 2022. The Masada Slim is IWI’s entry to the compact double-stack optics-ready handgun market and boasts an impressive trigger and 13+1 round standard capacity.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop checks out the Taurus booth at NRAAM 2022. This year, Taurus is showing off the G3 Tactical, fully loaded with the TORO optics plate system, suppressor height/co-witness sights, and a factory threaded barrel. They also introduced the first pistol in the new Executive Series, a tuned and customized version of the 6 shot 856 .38 Special. And they had Taurus branded cigars.

In this episode of TFB Showtime, Hop is at NRAAM 2022 to look at the new PTR 9CT Classic. This version of PTR’s roller delayed 9mm omits the welded top optics rail, has the traditional wide “jungle” handguard, and should be slightly less expensive than the tactical models. The 9CT Classic is perfect if you prefer classic subgun lines to the modern tactical look.
