CANiK USA recently created a special finished version of their 9mm TP9 SC to commemorate winning Industry Choice Awards best concealed carry handgun, and Ballistic’s Best award, both in 2020. This new color option to the CANiK TP9 Elite SC is called the Battlefield Trophy, which features a battle-worn, green and tan color scheme, as well as the rest of the features the Elite SC line offers. Blue Force Gear (BFG) arrived in style and unveiled its newest batch of kit at TFB’s GunFest 2021.  Among the slew of new offerings were their newest  PLATE-6 carrier, as well as new CHLK and GRID belts.

Canik USA recently ran several different collector’s variants of their TP9 SFx pistols, which proved quite popular with loyal fans, and eventually garnered some steep private sale prices. Due to the limited run of those pistols, Canik USA decided to appeal to those that missed out by releasing several more runs of the TP9 SFx pistols under their new Canik Signature Series. There are two upgrades that set the Signature Series apart from a stock Canik, as well as the standard Sfx line; the most noticeable of which is a sharp two-tone, contrasting finish, while the second upgrade is an added flared magazine well base for assisting in quicker reloads. The third benefit that the Signature Series gains from the SFx line is that it’s optics ready and ships with a nearly seamless rear sight plate installed.

OSS is basically a household name when it comes to rifle suppressors. Most of you will be familiar with OSS and their unique “Flow-Through” suppressor technology that reduces gas blowback to the shooter. For years customers have been asking OSS to make a handgun suppressor and the company has responded with the new RAD 9 and RAD 45 lightweight pistol suppressors first introduced to TFB at Gun Fest 2021.

Primary Arms is a prolific optics manufacturer. Their house-brand optics product lines span dozens of models of riflescopes, LPVOs, prism scopes, red dots, and magnifiers – along with a cavalcade of various mounts and accessories to support them. With only a half-dozen of the current models requiring a cash outlay north of the $1000 mark, and the overwhelming majority of their options sitting at less than $500 MSRP, Primary Arms tends to weight affordability, and they strive for value on a budget with the bulk of their glass. When they came to TFB and TFBTV’s recent GunFest, they brought three such optics along with them, some of their newest models. None of these were entirely new, never-before-seen announcements, as each has been discussed in some form here on TFB before, but they are examples of the Houston-based company’s latest offerings.

At GunFest last week, Burris brought a plethora of new goodies. Their new Thermal Optics piqued my interest. They are releasing a whole line of thermal optics from handheld viewers to clip-ons and rifle mounted thermal weapon sights.

Burris Optics joined TFB (The Firearm Blog) and AO (AllOutdoor) down in for GunFest 2021 to show us all of their new thermal optics. Colorado-based Burris Optics turns a whopping 50 years old this year, having been founded in 1971. For many old-school hunters, scopes like those of Burris’ venerable Fullfield series often get mentioned in the same breath as icons of yesteryear such as Weaver and Redfield. For many shooters, the simple rifle sling tends to be an oft-forgotten or somewhat ignored piece of kit. Although we typically have and use them, they don’t get paid nearly as much attention as flashier or pricier gear.
