There’s a good vibe to our Photo Of The Day today, with the featured image just above. These images are from when Soldiers and Airmen competed in the annual TAG match, in Florence, AZ on March 2024. You see the M110A1 Squad Designated Marksman Rifle at work, with a close-up just below.
Employing the National Guard for real-world missions keeps their hard-earned skills honed and will help balance the Nation’s need to maintain a large and more expensive active-duty force. The TAG Match is an individual and team shooting competition that exposes Soldiers, Airmen, and other participants to various weapons systems in a competitive match environment.
Did you ever try shooting a Texas star? Did you ever master it? If you did, please let everyone know in the comments, so we all can learn.
