Watchtower Firearms Type HSP-H

Photo Of The Day and we’re having a peek at Watchtower Firearms and their Type HSP-H rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. For the old-fashioned, it’s also available in .308 Win. You’re looking at Nina Roger’s Limited Edition, mostly used for wild boar. The Cerakote is a matte finish to blend with different landscapes and environments.

Here’s the description:

Every hunter deserves a firearm to rely on when in the field. This out-of-the-box hunting rifle is Nina Roger’s Limited Edition, built to be precise, easy to manage, and helps conceal the hunter in their environment. The Type HSP-H rifle is built around a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel with a rifle-length gas system. The S7M 15-inch handguard offers the M-LOK attachment method at seven positions, 4 QD points, and a full-length 1913 Picatinny rail. Nina is a pure- blooded hunter; together, we have created a masterpiece.

This is her custom Type 10, specialized to hunt hog. It is assembled with WATCHTOWER’s corrosion resistant PVD coated bolt carrier group and has a muzzle device that significantly reduces recoil to help to stay on target. The camouflage is a durable matte cerakote finish carefully created to blend with different landscapes and environments. As one of Nina’s special requests, this camo disguises the shooter and is only offered on the Type HSP-H rifle. With a lifetime warranty to protect against any defects or malfunctions, we promise to give you the best hunting experience possible.

Beware, Nina Rogers’ trigger finger on the rifle that bears her name.

The price tag is $$2,499, without the suppressor and Leupold optic.

The receiver is a Type 10 7075-T6511 billet aluminum.

A 5/8 x24 TruBlack Dragon Slay-AR muzzle device.

Would you choose .308 Winchester or 6.5 Creedmoor? And why?

I love the old bottomlands camo. I have several 308s so a 6 5 would be good

I just noticed on that last picture, the amount of material between the QD and M-Lok slots is not reassuring.

@Joe S Ever seen a keymod handguard with something attached to it fall flat on it's face ? It breaks, because there isn't enough material between each slot. That's why HKey slots are spaced farther apart, to strengthen the handguard. That QD mount has the same issue as Keymod does : it's expected to withstand a certain force, yet it just doesn't have enough material to reliably do it. Just look at any well-designed integrated mount on other handguards or receivers. They cover the QD plug with a lot more material than this does.
