It is officially the season of the revenge of the revolver! It is like “Revenge of the Sith,” but with less lightsabers and more wheelguns. From the Galco Masterbilt Series, the new Galco Revenger Belt Holster has been announced for a handful of stout, shorty revolvers. Everything from Colt, Ruger, and Smith & Wesson are included in this latest installment from Galco.

The Galco Revenger Belt Holster (SKU: REV192B) is now available for the following guns: Colt Python 3″, Ruger GP100 3″, Smith & Wesson L-Frame .44 Special 3″, Smith & Wesson L-Frame M396 3 1/8″, Smith & Wesson L-Frame M686 3″

Galco @ TFB:

The new Galco Revenger Belt Holster from Galco’s Masterbilt™ series has an MSRP of $259 in either of their Black or Tan colorways on their premium steerhide construction. Like all leather Galco holsters, this is very expensive, but Galco is essentially your “gold standard” when it comes to leather works (if you’re into that sort of thing). All of the specs and a word from Galco can be read below on this latest leather holster:

  • Lined, premium steerhide construction
  • Hand-molded by master craftsmen
  • Reinforced mouth and belt tunnel
  • Near-neutral cant
  • Fits belts up to 1 1/2″
  • Black or tan

April 2024 – Introducing Galco’s Revenger™ Belt Holster! Perfectly mated to everyday carry guns or elegant special-occasion revolvers, the Revenger™ offers a unique set of features and best-quality construction methods. The Revenger fills out Galco’s Masterbilt™ series of best-quality, premier-grade holsters with a design exclusively for wheelguns.

Constructed of our finest, fully-lined premium steerhide, the Revenger features detailed hand-molding for both secure retention and a beautiful appearance. The smooth leather lining provides increased tactile feedback on the draw while easing wear on more-delicate revolver finishes. The refinement of leather lining is not only practical – it also enhances the overall look and feel of a hand-crafted premium holster.

The Revenger’s near-neutral (vertical) cant gives it the fastest, wrist-locked draw stroke, while the reinforced opening provides easy, one-handed return to the holster. The metal-reinforced tunnel-style belt loop provides excellent rigidity during carry and on the draw, and the trailing belt slot aids with concealment – even with large defensive revolvers. A molded sight rail prevents snags on the draw.

The Galco Revenger Belt Holster from Galco’s Masterbilt™ series looks fairly simple from its exterior, but the metaphorical wheel doesn’t need to be reinvented every time a holster maker presents something new. Oftentimes, simple is best. As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.

$260, ouch. Maybe my fudd is showing but I have a couple of Kramer horse hide holsters that are less than $200 and are excellent.

@Michael T. Galco has gone plumb off the deep end. When I need a new holster, I don't even browse their catalog anymore.

What makes this different from the Avenger holster?
